(A bio written in third person, just because…) Andrew grew up on the Pacific coast of South America, the son of an evangelical missionary. Since he lacked the coveted gift of preaching, the young Mr. McKinley expressed the divine characteristics of the Creator as a visual artist – a ministry career destined to failure since his denomination forbade the idolatrous practice of creating beautiful things. Nonetheless, he proceeded to prostitute himself for almost 28 years to corporate interests in communications design, user experience design, advertising, visual branding, consumer packaging, edible cannabis products, and teaching graphic design to undergraduates in the Fraser Valley. In the summer of 2023, Andrew returned here, to his alma mater, and embarked on a MDes Interdisciplinary.
