Qianxuan Chen is a visual artist and Interdisciplinary designer. She is pursuing a graduate degree in Interdisciplinary Design at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, having previously completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Art at the same institution.

She is an Intersectional and radical feminist, embracing Socialist Feminism, inclined toward Cultural Feminism and does not subscribe to TERF ideology.

As a female Asian artist and interdisciplinary designer, Qianxuan investigated the complexities of women’s experiences and bodies within patriarchal structures through her work. She primarily focuses on material practice to spark critical thinking, promote empathy, and contribute to feminist discussions.

Qianxuan constantly experiments with materials, observing and exploring how to connect her art with these experimental materials—constantly challenging new material techniques, reflecting a creative and innovative approach in her practice.
