About Me

Hey! I’m Nimi a product designer from Nigeria who currently resides in Vancouver.
Since 2020 I have lead product design at Simpu, a B2B SaaS company that helps businesses streamline communication and customer relations.
Understanding the intricacies of product design, designing to create ease of use across multi-platforms, while also optimizing for all stakeholders to ensure business continuity and growth is where I excel at.

I just got my Masters in Interactions design at Emily Carr University of Arts and Design with a focus on designing specific and culturally sensitive design processes. By prioritising genuine dialogue and co-creation with communities, I believe that interaction design can be a powerful tool for community empowerment. I was awarded the 2023–24 Future Creative Catalysts Graduate Research Fellowship, ECU Graduation Awards for Anti-Racism and Social Justice – Design and the Emily Carr Alumni Association Graduation Award for Community Engagement for my graduate thesis at Emily Carr University.
Living in a new city, I am currently exploring Vancouver, trying out new local cuisines, and sipping on all the Iced lattes I can even in this frigid weather.
