MFA 2024 Xiaoyin Anna Luo

Hello, this is Anna. I am a first-year MFA student whose practice revolves around traditional artisan handcrafts such as papermaking, printmaking, and natural dyeing. With the influence of my cultural background, I have developed a strong personal connection and emotional attachment to these traditional craft practices. These practices became part of my artistic expression and unique voice. My work examines the sustainability in the creative art-making process and serves as a bridge to the idea of collective caring.
