Mapping the Route
Since I got to Vancouver, I have been using the Google Maps a lot. It is the best and the easiest way to find my way around this new city. Although, I have started to recognize the streets, bus routes and a few buildings, I am still not comfortable going out without looking up the destination and the route on the map before I leave the house.
Continuing from the last action, I wanted to mark down all the places I had visited so far on a map. I finally got the folding map of the city I had ordered and for this action I decided to carry out the same action on something physical. It took me a while to locate my house on the map, but I was able to do so. I decided to mark the route I had been taking to school for the past one week.
I had already made a list of all the stops the bus made before I reached school a few days back. Marking the route on the map helped me visualize those stops and landmarks, which acted as a good exercise to learn my commute.
