Hello! I am Shraddha Kumbhar, Product Designer from Mumbai, India, currently based in Vancouver for pursuing a Master of Design (Interaction) at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
I am focused on creating designs that have a balanced blend of aesthetics and functionality that provides a high-quality experience and satisfies the user’s needs. I am known for my research, adaptability and ability to pick up new skills efficiently.
My bachelor’s project, KARA108RG – Flood Emergency Equipment, has been awarded the Most Professional Project at the School of Design Jury Awards 2020 by Pearl Academy, Mumbai. The project was also virtually showcased at Global Grad Show(GGS) 2020, part of Dubai Design Week. It was also a part of a specially curated list for GGS by Caroline Roux, a London based design journalist. In addition, Dezeen, Asia Today and Disruptive Asia made mentions of this project.
Before joining Emily Carr, I interned as an Innovator at Digital Impact Square (DISQ), a TATA Consultancy Services Foundation Initiative, in Nashik, India. Furthermore, in 2019 I got an opportunity to get selected for the Student Exchange Program at University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, UK. After these remarkable experiences, I am more eager to explore my design path globally.
