Second generation Taiwanese-Chinese-American, she/they. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BFA in Printmaking/Drawing, and worked in education and as a project manager in lean manufacturing before starting my own business. Since fall 2014, I've been a full-time artist and entrepreneur running an anti-gentrification arts business, creating public and social practice art projects and consulting on equitable best practices for cultural organizations and the public sector. I came to Emily Carr to deepen my research on the labor of women of color in the arts, arts-based gentrification, and the risks and rewards of upholding our ethics.
